The Rav recalled that the Rebbe always carried the key to the mikvah (ritual pool) with him when he attended lectures at the university. ”At about two or three o‘clock every afternoon when he left the university he would go straight to the mikvah. the account by Rabbi Fabian Schonfeld, president of the RCA and student of Rabbi J. B. Solivietchik (“the Rav”) for approximately fifty years, of the Rav’s testimony that the Rebbe “never missed going to the Mikvah, a single day during the time he was in Berlin”. The Rav’s exact words were, “Ich ken mei’id zein, az er hot nisht farfelt kein ein tog Mikveh”.
